Blast from the past! A long, long time ago I worked with a fellow who defines the term “Entrepreneur”. He never left any stone un-turned in the pursuit of opportunity.
Well, the reunion was attenuated by…yes Tropical Storm Colin…
We only scheduled two days in WPB, Barry and his wife Holly were kind enough to invite us for dinner before the worst set in…Hunter their pilot son happened to be in town, I hadn’t seen him since he was a child. What a difference a decade or two can make.
During the days of my youth, when we weren’t overseas and we were home my parents sent me to Bishop Dagwell Hall that (BDH) morphed into Oregon Episcopal when BDH and St. Helens Hall combined. Holly brought out the old year books…and there it was…
Holly was standing directly behind me. Talk about serendipity. I didn’t remember the photo or who was in it…neither did she…but we were in the same place at the same time some 45+ years ago…and now we were together again. It was a great moment. Old friends and the discovery of my new favorite drink…courtesy of Barry…Tequila and Grapefruit…
The next day as we prepared to leave, we had two objectives…
- Breakfast
- Get Koko trimed up for the tropics…
Behold the Redneck Benedict…and Koko all gussied up. It took all of about two minutes to get those ribbons out of her hair…She was not a fan…
