On the road we often stop at places that we’ve read about and look interesting…St.Mary’s was one of those places…
On the waterway that divides Georgia from Florida this place is from another time…A small town where everyone knows everyone else. Barb and I had one of the longest discussions with a quintessential southern woman over lunch…just because…
“we weren’t from around there”….
It was one of the undiscovered ports in the region…the marina played host to boats from all across the states….
Including…well some unfortunate sailboat owner….
We watched a Marine law enforcement patrol boat tie up at the marina…I asked them what had happened…and in a southern drawl, they told me….
“That’s Georgia’s problem, we’re from Florida and we’re here for lunch“…
Regardless, this was an amazing little town, probably too small for Barb and I but very cool nonetheless….imaging living on little spread like this….epic!
